First: Who are we?
Those folks right there? That’s us. Yes, I realize we are both apparently young and beautiful, but… you should know two things:
1. The last time we had studio portraits done may or may not have been before my 9-year-old was born. I’m taking the 5th.
2. I am a photoshop expert. I’m not saying I used it. But I’m not saying I didn’t either.
Regardless of our actual age or beauty, Jenifer and I first started our business back in 2003 as a tax service for college students. It grew into an accounting firm offering tax services to both small businesses and individuals, as well as payroll, bookkeeping, and Quickbooks training and support. Jenifer became licensed as an Enrolled Agent and specialized in business and corporate taxes. I became a payroll and accounting software expert and together we managed more than 200 clients for many years.
Fast forward a bit to 2012. Our second of four children had just been born (Yes, I said four and yes, we know how it works.) and the tax season was becoming too hectic for us to spend the time we wanted with our kiddos.
So, we scaled the business back. First dropping our payroll service, and eventually the tax service as well. The kids are much happier this way, and so are we. We focus just on bookkeeping and QuickBooks file reviews and file repair.
